"Vancouver continues to have the "highest price per door" of the eight markets surveyed, at $234,661 - well ahead of a $147,000 price per door in Toronto, and $102,028 in Montreal.
Prices per door, or suite, have increased nearly 1.6 per cent in the last year in Vancouver, while dropping 5.8 per cent in Toronto.
And while Vancouver once had the highest rents in Canada - now averaging $1,177 - latest figures show the city is in second place, behind Toronto where average rents are $1,188. Rents in Montreal, at an average of $717, are the lowest."
